Water Resources Engineer / Hydrologist

AquaResource is seeking a Water Resources Engineer / Hydrologist responsible for a wide range of water resources-related activities including; watershed hydrology modeling and assessment, source water protection, and other environmental studies.  As a key member of our team, you will help to develop and expand our services to the Water Resource sector in Ontario.  You will participate and collaborate with other staff various multi-disciplinary assignments. Other duties include preparation of proposals and technical reports, and developing and maintaining client relationships. 

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree specializing in Water Resources Engineering from an accredited university;
  • licensed with Professional Engineers of Ontario; and,
  • at least five (5) years of directly relevant professional experience.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Project experience using watershed hydrology models including HSPF and GAWSER;
  • experience using ArcGIS/ArcHydro, Manifold GIS, Microsoft Access, and SQL Server databases;
  • programming experience using Visual Basic or Visual Basic.NET would be an asset; and,
  • experience linking with groundwater models including MODFLOW and FEFLOW would be an asset.


Groundwater Modeling Specialist

AquaResource Inc. is currently looking for a groundwater modeling specialist to join its team of water resources and information technology professionals. The successful candidate will be involved in leading-edge projects dealing with source water protection, water resource impact assessments, and contaminant hydrogeology. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in numerical methods and hydrogeology. 

  • A Master's degree in hydrogeology with emphasis on physical hydrogeology or modeling is required;
  • ideally with at least two (2) years of applied experience; and,
  • excellent written and oral presentation skills are required.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience with MODFLOW, FEFLOW, or other modeling tools;
  • ability to work in a team situation or independently;
  • experience with advanced modeling applications; and,
  • programming experience using C++ or Visual Basic would be an asset.
