Saugeen, Grey Sauble, Northern Bruce Peninsula Tier 1 Surface Water Stress Assessment

Working directly with the SVCA and GSCA staff, AquaResource is pleased to announce the Tier 1 Surface Water Stress Assessment.
This project will involve the construction and calibration of a continuous hydrologic model (GAWSER), with the aim to quantify the surface Water Budget components within the study area. Consumptive surface water demand will also be estimated, and when compared to available water, will be used to identify subwatersheds that have a potential for water taking-related stress. This project will be closely linked with the Tier 1 Groundwater Stress Assessment for the Saugeen, Grey Sauble, Northern Bruce Peninsula Region, previously completed by AquaResource, to partially fulfill the Region’s requirements under the Clean Water Act.
