Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority Water Availability Study

Building on AquaResource’s Source Protection and hydrologic modeling expertise, AquaResource is pleased to announce our involvement with the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority Water Availability Study.

Working closely with staff members from the NPCA, AquaResource will be developing continuous hydrologic models (HEC-HMS), to estimate surface water flows and groundwater recharge rates, for all lands within the NPCA jurisdiction.  Estimates of surface water flow and groundwater recharge rates will be used by NPCA staff to complete Tier 1 Water Quantity Stress assessments for the region, and partially fulfill NPCA’s obligations under the Clean Water Act.
This project is expected to be completed by July 2008. For more information about this project, please contact Sam Bellamy.
