FEFLOW Conference

AquaResource was pleased to participate in the recent FEFLOW Conference. The conference included a distributors meeting, which gave AquaResource an opportunity to provided user-feedback to the WASY development team.  Such feedback included valuable insight regarding potential enhancements to the design of the FEFLOW user interface to improve usability and application to real-world projects.

As part of the user conference, Daron Abbey presented a paper on advanced water budgeting work that our team has been completing for the Credit River Watershed.  This paper provided an overview of the detailed approach and the findings from that work, highlighting the capabilities and strengths of FEFLOW for detailed water budgeting.  Christian Gabriel also presented an informative paper on the application of Interface Manager programs (IFM's) to help streamline data input and results assessment for large groundwater models.  Our team has found the application these automation tools to streamline our model construction, calibration and application process as well as improving our ability to efficiently store and assess results from multiple simulations using external database and GIS tools.
