EarthSoft and AquaResource Announce EQuIS 5

EarthSoft announces the EQuIS 5 sample data management system, the environmental industryís first application built from the ground up using Microsoftís .NET Framework. 

In addition to being Microsoft .NET Certified, EQuIS 5 is consistent with the development road maps from ESRI and Oracle.  EQuIS 5 offers workflow automation for Electronic Data Deliverable (EDD) management with document management integration (including Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server and tsaADVETís Falcon), and combines the ease of a web application with the richness of a Windows user interface.  EarthSoft will sell EQuIS 5 as a licensed product, and as a hosted solution through several EarthSoft partners.  EQuIS 5 provides an ideal growth path for the many existing EQuIS 3 systems that have outgrown Microsoft Access and need the scalability of SQL Server or Oracle, and includes all the geological and analytical chemistry data elements of EQuIS 3 plus additional discharge monitoring and limnological data structures.  EarthSoft is also currently designing a comprehensive geotechnical data structure that will be added to EQuIS 5 in the next six to twelve months.  In addition to EarthSoftís testing and beta program, several large government agencies, industrial clients, and environmental consulting companies have already started loading data into EQuIS 5.  A number of EPA Regions and state agencies have already signed contracts that allow them to freely distribute the EQuIS Data Processor (EDP) to labs and consultants.
