AquaResource Welcomes David Van Vliet

AquaResource is pleased to welcome David Van Vliet to our management team as Vice President. David Van Vliet has been a water resource professional for over 12 years with particularly strong experience in environmental data management and GIS analysis. Davidís water resources expertise extends from his academic career, which began with an undergraduate degree in water resources from the University of Guelph, followed with Masters degree in groundwater modeling with Dr. Jon Sykes at the University of Waterloo.
Throughout his career David has expanded his knowledge by integrating Information Technology (IT) tools and numerical groundwater and surface water models. One of his first accomplishments was to contribute an efficient database-oriented approach to the Regional Municipality of Waterlooís long-term water supply master plan study. He began working with Paul Martin in 1995 to accomplish the first complete set of groundwater capture zone modeling delineations across the Region of Waterloo.

Recognizing the need for improved information technologies, David spent the last seven years pioneering the advancement of data management and GIS tools for use in the environmental engineering and remediation industry. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the AquaResource team in his new position as a director in the firm.
